Ok people.

I know we haven’t been updating the blog for a long long time. However, the good news is that we are back! Stronger and never felt better! The main reason why we haven’t been updating and promoting the blog is that we had our prelims.

The prelims was the main priority for us as students and we had to literally spend 8-5 on studying. Anyway we are glad to say that it is over and we have survived it. So to skeptics out there who think that this idea have been abandoned, think again.

Here’s why we will succeed in this venture of ours:

1. Firstly, we did not set a time limit on ourselves. This means that we can take for as long as we want to complete our mission. And we will take a month, a year, a decade if we have to to get that car/house!
2. We love to prove people wrong. We love all the skepticism we can get. From EDMW mostly, i love the group of people there. They just spur me on even more. From the inspiration gathered from the recent Olympic games, Usain Bolt, and Phelps have all showed us the power of dreaming and believing.
3. History have shown that it is possible. This just gives us the drive that what we are doing is totally 100% do-able. There are cool people out there who are willing to be part of this. Ok maybe there’s lesser of these people in Singapore, however there is still people in Singapore and our job is to find these people out to trade with us!

Watch out in the recent months (at least until before we start focusing on our A levels again) and hopefully we would make a few more trades by then. So stop by our blog and get the latest updates!

The One Virtual Pets ->Easy Safe Set

After one long long week. I was really looking forward to the trade..

So off we went to Jurong East to make the trade! Elson and I met Kenneth outside the MRT station and made the trade. Kenneth was really nice and explained to us how exactly do we use this cool gadget. But he was shy and when asked for a photo for the blog, he declined.

Wahh. I think next time must force people to take photos la. All so pai seh one. Anyway, we would once again like to thank him for taking the time and effort to make the trade with us and hopes that he finds the 2 little virtual pets thingy meaningful just as we did.

It is a software/hardware that provides a 2 level security for securing your personal digital data in your computer. It partitions your harddisk, thumbdrive, etc into a virtual place to store all your private files and can only be accessed through plugging in the key and typing a password.

In non-geekish terms, it means that this software makes your private and confidential files in your computer accessible to you and you control all rights to who can access your files.

The One Earphone cable lead winder->?!?!?

After waiting for one whole week, Sunday finally came.

the day that we would trade our beloved ghost/angel thingy for the third ‘item’. We traveled all the way to tampines which was actually quite far just to trade. It was worth it. We dunno how much the current item is worth but here’s what happened.

Being a punctual trader, I went early to tampines so that i wouldn’t be late hoping that Timothy would have the same thinking. However, Timothy called me to say that he forgot to bring the thing and he had to go back home to get it. The meeting also had to be pushed back to 1230.

Luckily W had just woken up when I smsed her to say that we will be late. Because i was so early i had nothing to do so i went to eat by myself which was quite fun contrary to what Timothy thinks. He said that eating alone being fun was just a consolation. Anyway 1230 quickly came and timothy arrived just on time. He kept calling me a noob and saying that he was very experience at meeting online people. but I was determined to show him that i was not a noob.

Anyway W arrived abit late. She just jumped in front of us and said hello. A very brief description of her would be timothy’s type of girl (not so very at all old and i think she was wearing braces). Anyway we passed her our beloved thingy and she passed us her thingy. Actually we wanted to take a photo but she was shy so haha your will never see her face unlike WM( the 1st trader whose face is freaking blur due to the lousy photographic skills of B). So we just went our way and she went her way and we said bye too!

Yupp thats how i became a ‘pro’ trader and timothy meet the girl of his dreams. Other fun facts about the sentimental value of tampines to timothy would be the place where he got his first job as a surveyor with Fareed.

Okay before I reveal the item I hope that you are still reading and have not scrolled down to anticipation ( even though I know everyone is just dying to know what the new item is)

Yupp these are the items we got 2 thingys and 1 homemade instruction manual.

see doesn’t it fit the description it even has antenna’s to allow you to play games with your friends and raising the thing inside will make you more responsible. Anyway I think we will most probably trade all 3 at one shot so you can give one to your friend and play with your friend’s thing (dont think dirty) through infrared. If you want a friend who will never forsake you and insult you this is what you need! Timothy and I are even willing to teach you how to play with the thing.

Ok. After posting my blog, just a day later, i got an offer from mystery person W!

and W was so willing to aid me in “blue paperclip” quest (BPQ sounds like BBQ!) that i was just like “cooool!” and after some email exchanges, we have agreed upon the items of trade! I’ll be trading for the 3rd item this saturday!

I just found out the exact name of the item.

Its called..

Wow! In short its a E.C.L.W! Sounds quite cool!

The One Paperclip->?!?!?!

After embarking on our cool quest to trade that one blue paperclip. We decided the best way to do it was to start with our friends! After much pestering, begging, and deceiving, we are happy to announce that we have made our first trade! We almost decided to trade the paperclip for a pool membership card to JY.

But luckily, the deal terminated before we managed to trade the paperclip with a nice nice girl called WM for a…

But its the thing you use to wrap your earphones around it.

The One Blue Paperclip

It all began when my friend Elson and I were studying at the library. As we were chatting, he brought up the guy called Kyle MacDonald again. and BOOM. “What the heck! Lets give it a shot!”.

How much is it worth?

Inspired by Kyle MacDonald, who traded one red paperclip for a house, we decided to give this random hobby a shot. Instead of a red paperclip, we decided to start with a blue one.

This is because of skeptics saying “WTH… That’s America, this’s Singapore. You can’t do this here.” Even though the idea is identical with Kyle MacDonald, the challenge here we would face is the fact that this is Singapore, and Hence, the blue paperclip instead of a red paperclip.

Timothy and Elson are taking one step at a same and see how far it goes. and whether is it really possible to trade a paperclip for a house? or a car? especially in Singapore?
